BackgroundOriginally a small collection of nomadic weavers, Sascha's ancestors moved across Ilsabard and eventually settled, creating a small village in the remote desert of southern Thanalan. Little contact with the outside world left Sascha raised on stories brought home by his two merchant mothers, who filled his head with thoughts of adventure from a young age.Bright and intelligent, Sascha has studied fervently since he was a child with the single-minded desire to explore the outside world of his village by boat. Leaving behind his hometown full of loving sisters and cousins, he set out on his own at the age of eighteen with the express purpose of buying a ship and amassing a crew.

PersonalityUpon first meeting, Sascha is friendly and professional, depending on what the situation requires. He is particularly polite towards women, defaulting to 'miss' or 'ma'am' to refer to them.He is unable to pick on subtleties in others' expressions and emotions, usually defaulting to asking people how they feel if it's too vague or if he isn't sure.While honest to a fault, he can also be quite arrogant, especially regarding matters of his appearance or his talents with magic.If comfortable enough around somebody or if he's interested in them, he can and will flirt with them. However, he's very respectful of others' interests or disinterest in him and will back off if somebody tells him they are uncomfortable or if they are not receptive.Despite being able to handle rejection easily to a point, repeated failures make him prone to melancholy. He can also be quite hot-headed and stubborn if he feels he's being challenged.

Defining FeaturesSascha's ears are larger than normal and move with his emotions, perking up when he's happy and flattening down when he's upset.
He has sharp canines, elongated incisors, and a short bushy tail the same color as his hair.
He is almost never seen without makeup on. He wears dark pink pigment around his eyes, a thin but prominent coat of eyeliner, and a coat of pink gloss on his lips.
Sascha keeps his hands well cared for. His nails are long, usually painted in black, though he will use purple or gold if the mood strikes him.
His body is thin and lean with definitive muscle tone. Tattoos in a pattern like crashing waves and colored in turquoise and gold line his arms, stopping just before his sternum.
He speaks in rapid-fire and tends to ramble. He picked up the mannerisms of sailors when he first came to Limsa Lominsa, using the rough and brusque speech to hide his lack of confidence with the Eorzean language and thick Bozjan accent. His words are clipped and shortened with his rhotic consonants trilled.
If he tries to speak in a more "proper" tone, his Bozjan accent is much more prominent.

Skills and TalentsSascha is skilled with mathematics and aetherial manipulation, which makes him a prime student for arcanism. His thirst for knowledge has left him well-versed in a number of topics, though he prefers to talk shop about engineering and naval strategy.
He is a talented helmsman and is the owner of two ships, only one of which is operational.
No stranger to mercenary or bodyguard work, Sascha prefers to work with rapiers, daggers, guns, and small blades. His guns and bullets are modified to allow for the flow of aether so he can cast spells and use arcanism while shooting a target from a distance.
The bullets are not necessarily lethal, should he be required for a hunt that requires a living target.However, he is admittedly an awful healer, a worse dancer, and just abysmal with keeping his finances straight. He also lacks severely in domestic qualities, such as cooking and cleaning.He has a hidden talent for singing, only able to do it well when he's drunk enough to not care about others' opinions of it.
